# CE Activation

### **Certification Bodies (CBs) Can Invite Certified Entities (CEs)**

CBs can invite the Certified Entities they have issued certifications, allowing them to activate and manage their profiles in IAF CertSearch.

### **How to Invite Certified Entities to Activate in IAF CertSearch:**

1. **Navigate to the Certified Entities Page**
2. Under the **All Imported Data** tab
3. **Locate and click the CE you wish to invite.**
4. **Access the CE Detail Page:**\
CBs can initiate the invitation by accessing the CE’s detail page within the IAF CertSearch system.

3. **Generate an Activation Code or Activation Link:**\
**Activation Link**: CBs can send this link directly to the CEs to streamline the invitation process. By clicking the link, the CE can immediately begin their sign-up journey.

### **Alternatively, if the Certified Entity (CE) Initiates the Signup:**

If a CE starts the signup process directly on IAF CertSearch, they can proceed with their registration. However, they will need an **Activation Code** to complete the process. This code must be provided by **their Certification Body (CB)**. Therefore, the CE should communicate with their respective CB to obtain the code.

The **Activation Code** ensures that the entity signing up is a valid certified entity with a legitimate certificate, maintaining the integrity and security of the system.
