# Data Mapping by Certification Type

{% hint style="info" %}
If you choose not to map your data, ensure that you define the **Certification Type** to: **Management System**
{% endhint %}

To perform the mapping, choose **"Certification Site Type"** as the Field Name.

1. Go to **'Import Settings'**&#x20;
2. Click the 'Global Mapping' tab
3. In the Data Mapping tab, click the **'+ Add Data Mapping'** button
4. Select **Certification Type** as the Field Name you want to do that mapping to.

5. Select the target **Certification Type** where you want the source to be mapped.

{% hint style="info" %}
In this case, "**MS**" is the data value defined from the source (e.g., Excel/XML file). The system will not process this data because "**MS**" is not recognized as part of the certification type's dataset. To successfully import the data, you must map it to the correct certification type name recognized by the system—in this example, "**Management System**."
{% endhint %}

6. To add multiple mapping just click the Add Data Mapping button
7. Once done, click the **'Submit'** button[<br>](https://support.iafcertsearch.org/accreditation-bodies/data-management/import-settings/global-mapping/data-mapping/data-mapping-by-country)
