Getting started

The Certification Body area provides the ability to view all Certification Bodies listed under the Accreditation Body. It also provides the ability to Add and Edit a Certification Body. Certification Bodies are displayed in a summary list, where you can view the following fields :

• Status
• Unique ID
• Certification Body Name
• Economy
• Standards – the number of standards the accreditation body has assigned to the Certification Body
• Certified Entities – the number of Certified Entities that have been uploaded
• Certification - The number of certifications uploaded
• Created at – The date the certification body account was created
• Updated at – the last time the Certification Body account was updated by the Accreditation Body

• Filter by Economy
• Search by Certification Body Name

Action

• View Certification Body information
• Add a new Certification Body
• Upload multiple certification Bodies

How it works

Accreditation Bodies can upload Certification Bodies individually by “Add Certification Body”, or upload multiple via “File Upload”, or “FTP” or “API”.

Once the Certification Body has been uploaded, an email invitation will be sent to the Certification Body from IAFCertSearch.org to activate their account. The Accreditation Body can also copy and send the activation link under Certification Bodies / Certification Body Name / Details to send to the Certification Body directly.

Once the Certification Body has been uploaded, the Accreditation Body can assign the Accredited standards under “Standards” to the Certification Body. Certification bodies can only upload certifications for standards that the Accreditation body has assigned to the Certification Body.

Accreditation Bodies can view and edit the Certification Body information, including managing the status at any time. They can also view the “live profile” as it will appear in the certification body listing on the iafcertsearch.org to the public.

Pre requisite

• Upload a Certification Body via “Add Certification Body”, or via “File Upload”, “FTP” or “API”.
• Ensure the mandatory fields have been included for a successful upload. See field names in User guide Glossary to ensure data is in the correct format. https://developer.iafcertsearch.org/field-names/ab_cbs

Requirements

For single entry upload

• Go to Certification Bodies
• Click “+ Add Certification Body” button
• Complete form – include all mandatory fields, save form.
• Certification Body will be sent and activation email
• Assign standards under “standards” to certification body. Certification Bodies / Certification Body Name / Standards
• Once Certification Bodies have activated, they can upload certifications for the standards which have been assigned by the Accreditation Body.

For multiple entry upload

• Go to “Data management”
• Select “File Upload”, “FTP” or “API”. For how to guides see user guides for each process https://developer.iafcertsearch.org/

View options

• Go to Certification Bodies
• View list: filter by economy, status, or search by name
• Click on “View” or “Certification Body Name”
• View details
• View Standards which have been assigned
• View live profile page
• Edit Certification Body information and save
