# \[Release Notes] February 4, 2026

#### **Certification Issuance Dates in the API**

The Verification API now tells you when each certification was originally issued, so you no longer need a separate lookup to find out.

**What's New:**

* **Issuance dates across all company and certificate endpoints**, covering single retrieval, bulk retrieval, and lookups by IAF ID.
* **Aligned with Certification Body settings.** Dates appear according to what each Certification Body has chosen to publish.
* **Consistent field ordering** across every endpoint.
* **Faster request handling** for accounts using master API keys.

## Frequently asked questions

<details>

<summary>Why can I not see issuance dates for some certifications?</summary>

Certification date fields (issued date, original issued date, and expiry date) are published individually, so some may appear while others don't. A date may be hidden because publishing hasn't been enabled for that field, or because the certification is marked confidential and some details are masked. For details on a specific certification, contact the Certification Body.

<details>

<summary>Does the match companies endpoint return issuance dates?</summary>

No. Issuance dates are returned by the company and certificate endpoints only.

</details>

<details>

<summary>I use several API keys. Will they all return issuance dates?</summary>

Yes. Accounts with multiple API keys now return issuance dates consistently across every key.
