# Data Mapping by Certification Status

If you choose not to map your data, ensure that you define using IAF CertSearch's Certification Status dataset. You can view the full list here: [Certification Statuses](https://support.iafcertsearch.org/accreditation-bodies/iaf-certsearch-data-structure/iaf-certsearch-dataset/certification-status)

To perform the mapping, choose **"Certification Status"** as the Field Name.
1. Go to **'Import Settings'**
2. Click the **'Global Mapping'** tab
3. In the Data Mapping tab, click the **'+ Add Data Mapping'** button
4. Select **Certification Status** as the Field Name you want to do that mapping to.
4. Enter the value of the source data, example: Act
4. Select the target **Certification Type** where you want the source to be mapped.

In this case, "**Act**" is the data value defined from the source (e.g., Excel/XML file). The system will not process this data because "**Act**" is not recognized as part of the certification status dataset. To successfully import the data, you must map it to the correct certification status name recognized by the system—in this example, "**Active**."

4. To add multiple mapping just click the Add Data Mapping button:
5. Once done, click the **'Submit'** button
